I am establishing this journal as a means to keep in touch and comment with fellow friends. However I do not plan to post in this forum and am working on a method to transfer my public posts from livejournal to this site. We will see how well that goes. You're teaching an Art History class?! I'd kill to be you. I can tell you so much. I'm reading a book on History of Beauty by Umberto Eco and Art: A World History (if you don't want your students to get bored, get this book). I like any art history book by Marilyn Stokstad.
This is so awesome...be sure to start them off with the Lascaux, France cave painting and end with Duchamp's appropriation of the Mona Lisa or end with Rothko. You get opportunities to talk about the Stonehenge (place of sacrifical rituals), Parthenon (Athena's Temple), and my personal favorite sculpture The Winged Nike of Samothrace...you're so lucky! Remember, Dr. Glass is always there to help you as am I!! Anne knows a great deal about this as well.

Anne wanted to walk around...I just wanted to get indoors because it was frigid but I knew the girl wanted to keep looking around Old Town. Next time, I'll drag everyone by the hair to the closest place with heat! Lol...

Did you recommend a book for me yet? I think I forgot to jot it down...sorry! Well, if you want three breezy reads I suggest "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" 1,2,3. They're cute and quick. My favorite book is "The Notebook." Read "Great Gatsby" if you can. I could go on and on...lol.

I thought I gave you one... "Stranger in a Strange Land," The Notebook is actually one of Ben's favorite movies. I will add your suggestions to my list and thanks, im hopeful I will get a replacement card sooon!

Thanks for the comment I'll keep you posted. I was gonna contact him yesterday to do something sunday and then realized it was the superbowl. Thankgoodness I saw a commercial.haha As you can tell I dont follow football anyhow crisis averted. How are you!!
